I am so glad that you are here! We all have different journeys that lead us to Yoga. My path was one of pure passion for optimal mental and physical health and wellness. The word Yoga means to “yolk” or connect – to connect the mind with the body and to the heart. Mentally, Yoga helps calm an overly stimulated and stressed mind. Physically, Yoga helps strengthen the body and relax muscle tension. Spiritually, Yoga helps the heart feel peace, serenity, and gratitude.

Since 1998, I have studied and practiced Yoga Philosophy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Health Promotion. I have earned a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Health Psychology, two Master’s Degrees, one in Clinical Psychology and one in School and Community Educational Psychology, and several different Certifications in the Teaching and Philosophy of Yoga. When teaching Yoga, I love sharing the foundations of Yoga while motivating students to master self-care in the midst of chaotic times.  I take a compassionate approach to teaching as a way to help for each person restore energy and a sense of purpose, gain insight and wisdom to help them master their body’s stress response, and care for themselves and others more effectively. Together, in the Studio space or in Virtual classes, Yoga helps us “yolk” the mind and the body and equip us with a sense of connection to each other.

I am passionate about helping people feel good. I take a personalized approach to teaching and offer suggestions and accommodations so both the experienced and the beginner student can get what they desire and deserve from Yoga.

I hope you will find that my classes are fun and challenging while holding space to allow you to be on your journey for peace, personal growth, and overall wellness.

Namaste 😊
