The year was 2011, I just gotten fired for the first time ever, dumped, for the first time ever, and felt lost, looking for all the answers outside of myself. The victim, I wondered why this was happening to me. Grabbing a sweet deal on Groupon I decided to try out yoga, coming from a background in dance my body was screaming for movement. I immediately fell in love and knew that this is what I should be doing with my life.

My first few teachers really shaped a new frame of mind for myself to be able to think and feel so differently.

I signed up for yoga teacher training 10 days after I started practicing. There are things that you just know, and this for me was one. This new space of yoga felt so natural, I knew I had to teach and experience this new practice for all it had to offer.

My love of yoga grew, with a passion for learning I submerged myself within all things Yoga. Yoga Shelter 200h life and teacher training in 2011 Costa Rica… changed my life forever and opened a hunger for more, and I am forever grateful. Yoga Medics 200h teacher training continued my love, focusing on back care and therapeutic benefits to yoga.

I went on continuing my education with Yinspration, Jo Phee’s 100h program in Shanghai China, I took my love for the yin practice to deep levels of understanding and knowledge of facia, our body and the ability to truly surrender. Incorporating myofascia release techniques with Chinese medicine in our yin practice.

I fell in love with aerial yoga as soon as it was available to me, the beauty of this art was breathtaking and I was all in, taking a 25h teacher training and honored to be able to assisting the following training, opened this new from of self expression.

I taught for Yoga Shelter for 7 years and had the opportunity to lead trainings, share my knowledge in workshops and connect to my community, creating life long friendships, accountability and growth in my own life. Teaching yoga and all yoga had taught me has been the greatest gift. With job and life changes I took a break from teaching. We all experienced some set backs, in the last few years but for me connecting with community was ultimately calling me back. The pull was strong, so I went back.

Taking my practice to the place that means the most to me, the water. I got certified to teach stand-up paddle-board yoga. RYT continued education 25h SUP Yoga teacher training 2021 in Traverse City, Michigan had reignited the teacher in me, bringing me back to myself and my purpose, I had to teach again soon.

No better time then now, I’m back after a decade + of learning and growing and falling and getting back up. I’m so happy to share my love and light to this beautiful, loving yoga community.

I hope my story inspires you to find something to dig deep into. For me I had to focus on yoga to tap into myself and continue to find that space for myself to connect with. It’s a practice not a prefect. Sometimes we can’t see the journey but it’s already happening, just step back and observe. I know you’ll enjoy the view.

I’m back baby, I can’t wait to see you. Let’s play, namaste.
